We brought that vision to life through a calm, elevated palette, clean typography, and refined digital experience that helped Rise sell out presale memberships before opening its doors.

When Liz came to us with the idea for Rise Lagree Studio, she envisioned a brand that felt like stepping into a high-end wellness retreat — modern, grounded, and unapologetically premium. The challenge? Building a Lagree brand that captured the intensity of the workout while maintaining an elevated, resort-like calm.

We started with a mood board inspired by boutique hotel interiors, sun-washed tones, and quiet luxury. From there, we developed a custom wordmark and minimalist sun emblem that nods to light, energy, and renewal — key themes of the Lagree method. The website was designed to mirror the studio experience: clean, curated, and designed to convert visitors into loyal members.

Rise sold out of pre-sale memberships before opening day. The brand’s cohesive identity now extends from the studio walls to its digital presence, creating a seamless experience that resonates with North County’s fitness community.

I think the entire process forces you to look at your business through a different lens and really hone in on not just what you want to say, but what things are most important to you - and I think that it’s so important to go through this process of finding your authentic brand voice with someone who can help bring the design element into it.

We were just conceptualizing our business at the time and had just begun to start, but I’m glad we started the branding process early because you realize that it informs so much of the rest of your journey building and growing.

I had seen Refined’s work with other studios and the visuals were just super dreamy. I could tell it was the right vibe and expertise I was looking for. Curated and polished in the best way.

I think the entire process forces you to look at your business through a different lens and really hone in on not just what you want to say, but what things are most important to you — and I think that it’s so important to go through this process of finding your authentic brand voice with someone who can help bring the design element into it. I have absolutely no, I mean zero, talent for design, and I’m someone who has a lot to say, so really honing in on who and what the business is and what that looks like physically was very cool.

It was also so fun to see, once you have the assets — the actual designs at work, in signage, in merch — when you can see it in action for the first time, it’s the coolest thing!

I think the brand and website have established our visual identity immensely. Especially in the Lagree world, where everything is so dark and moody and black and white, we ended up with something that felt so unique and authentic. I get compliments on the branding, logo, and design all the time. We’re still in pre-sale mode but already 75% to goal with a month left before we open. I do think smart branding plays a big part in that.
